This work investigates how plectrums—often considered minor accessories—play a significant role in shaping a guitarist’s playing style, technique, and sound. By examining their evolution across musical genres and time periods, the project uncovers the functional importance of materials, shapes, and sizes in performance.
Plectrum Index also highlights the strong visual identity of plectrums. It showcases their potential as miniature pieces of design, often featuring bold graphics, branding, and personal expression. The project combines research, typography, and layout design to present a visually engaging and informative look at these small but influential objects.
This piece reflects a passion for both music and design, and demonstrates the power of storytelling through visual communication.
